We got our start in 1984 right here in San Diego. Over the years, we’ve built a staff of dedicated, passionate picnic lovers. We’ve learned the ins and outs of San Diego’s city and county parks—like how early you have to get to Mission Beach to secure the best spot (before sunrise, in case you were wondering). From the start, we’ve collaborated with businesses and groups to create unforgettable events.
We’re going to keep bringing the fun to America’s Finest City! Our team is always looking for new challenges. We’ll continue to take everything we’ve learned and apply our 5-step process to every single event. As our clients grow and their needs change, we’ll grow right along with them—and maybe throw a few fun surprises their way. Our events may evolve, but our values and commitment to fun will never change.

Our founder and owner has been with Picnic People from the beginning. The business will stay in the family—eventually, her sons will be running the show!
