How to Celebrate a Business Anniversary With a Picnic

A company anniversary is a milestone worth celebrating. No matter how big the business has grown, a picnic is a great way to bring everyone together and enjoy a great time. At Picnic People, we’ve got picnic planning down to a science, but our process can be broken down into a few simple steps that anyone can follow.

1. Set a date

The picnic date doesn’t have to be exactly on the anniversary date, but shouldn’t be more than within a week or two away. If you’d like a greater selection of venues and locations, consider hosting the picnic on a weekday. Employees can come out right after work and bring their family and friends along. Or, you can host the pincic on a weekend, but keep in mind that you may need to plan months in advance for a weekend picnic during busy seasons like summer and fall.

2. Choose a venue

In San Diego, we have no shortage of beaches, parks, and outdoor venues to host a company anniversary picnic. We have partnerships with many venues across San Diego and can help you find the right spot for your event. We can also help you obtain permits for outdoor locations.

3. Create a guest list

It helps to know how many people will be attending the picnic so you can plan to have enough food, seating, and space to host everyone. Ask employees to reserve spots for their family and friends in advance so that you know what to expect. Or, you can keep the event employees only or adults only.

4. Choose a theme

Depending on the location and venue you select for the picnic, a few themes you could consider include Wild West, Fiesta, and Country. Once you’ve picked a theme, plan relevant games and entertainment.

5. Call Picnic People

If flipping burgers and cooking hot dogs for 200 people isn’t your idea of fun, then call Picnic People to take care of the food. We’ve got a few menus with entrees, appetizers, and sides that everyone will enjoy.

6. Have a great time!

Once the planning and preparation are behind you, breathe a sigh of relief and take a moment to celebrate your milestone. Let Picnic People take care of the execution and cleanup so you can grab yourself a juicy cheeseburger. You deserve it!
