How to Build Your Own BBQ With Picnic People

The weather in San Diego is beautiful year round. But now that we’re just a few weeks away from spring, it’s the perfect time to enjoy some BBQ from Picnic People. Our “Build Your Own BBQ” menu is perfect for celebrating with friends and family, for any occasion.

Every meal comes with California Oak Smoked Chicken, All Beef Hot Dogs With Trimmings, Ruffles Potato Chips, and sliced watermelon. The rest can be personalized according to your preferences.

Step 1: Choose an entree

You’ve got the following seven entrees to choose from:

  1. Smoked Turkey Breast (served with BBQ sauce)
  2. Hickory Slow Smoked Brisket (smoked “low and slow” over Tennessee hickory)
  3. ⅓ Pound Burgers & Cheeseburgers
  4. Southern Style Pulled Pork
  5. St. Louis Style Pork Ribs
  6. Santa Maria Seasoned Tri Tip
  7. Chopped Brisket Sandwich

Step 2: Choose a vegetarian or vegan entree

If you’ve got friends who don’t eat meat, dairy, or gluten, here are a few options they might enjoy:

  1. Veggie Burger (vegetarian)
  2. Black Bean Burger (vegan)
  3. Grilled Portobello Mushrooms (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free)
  4. Beyond Burger (vegetarian and vegan)
  5. Mixed Grilled Vegetables (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free)

Step 3: Choose two sides

Here we’ve got a variety of options everyone will enjoy:

  1. Tomato Basil Penne Pasta Salad (penne pasta made with roma tomatoes, fresh basil, and champagne vinaigrette)
  2. Home-Style Coleslaw (made with shredded cabbage and julienne carrots)
  3. Traditional Potato Salad
  4. Roasted Poblano Baked Beans
  5. Molasses Baked Beans (with bacon)
  6. Sweet or Spicy Vegetarian Baked Beans
  7. Mediterranean Pasta Salad (made with feta, onion, carrot, black olives, pesto, and Italian dressing)
  8. Field Green/Iceberg Salad

Step 4: Choose a dessert

Satisfy your sweet tooth with our famous fudge brownies, peanut butter brownies, lemon bars, and assorted homemade cookies (chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia nut, and sugar).
