Planning a picnic in San Diego? Then you need to try the Classics menu from Picnic People. This menu includes Country BBQ, Hawaiian BBQ, and Burgers/Dogs options. Tempted? Here’s what’s included in each classic BBQ option.
Country BBQ
The three entree options are Smoked BBQ Beef Sandwich (made with California oak smoked beef slow cooked in BBQ sauce), California BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich (made with tender pulled pork, smoked over California oak, and mixed with BBQ sauce), and California Oak Smoked Chicken (covered in our secret blend of dry spices, smoked, and served with BBQ sauce).
Side options include Roasted Poblano Baked Beans, Molasses Baked Beans, Sweet or Spicy Vegetarian Baked Beans, Traditional Potato Salad, and Home-Style Coleslaw. If you’re craving dessert, we offer an assortment of homemade cookies: chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia nut, and sugar.
Hawaiian BBQ
The two Hawaiian entree options include Kalua Pork (tender pork butt rubbed with sea salt, smoked over California oak, and served shredded in traditional Hawaiian luau style with soy sauce) and Hawaiian Chicken (tender chicken thighs marinated in a tangy teriyaki sauce and rice vinegar, finished with a sweet teriyaki glaze).
The two side options are the Luau Macaroni salad and Hawaiian rolls with butter.
Burgers/Dogs
Craving burgers? We offer ⅓ pound burgers and cheeseburgers grilled to order and served on fresh buns with all of the trimmings, which include pickles, diced onions, shredded lettuce, vine ripe sliced tomatoes, sliced red onion, sweet relish, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
For vegetarians, we offer veggie burgers. We also have All Beef Hot Dogs.
Side options are the same as for the Country BBQ portion of our Classics menu.
Special Dietary Restrictions
Guests who eat a gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan diet can still enjoy many items on our Classics menu. For additional modifications, we recommend letting us know in advance so we can make the necessary changes.
